Migrations · Platform exit
If you’re leaving, leave well.
Decision made: Shopify, BigCommerce, wherever. We won’t twist your arm. We can build your new store, or hand off to the team that will. Either way, we get all of your data out clean, keep your SEO intact, and shut Magento down properly.
Exit engagement
What an exit engagement covers.
- Catalog, customer, and full order-history extraction, including the custom EAV attributes and tables nobody documented
- ERP and integration disentanglement, so feeds don’t break the day you switch
- URL mapping and 301 plan handed to the receiving team: your rankings are part of the data
- Parallel-run support through cutover, then a clean archive and shutdown of your old store
We can build your next store or hand off to a team that will, and we stay until your data is verified on the other side. What we don’t do is take referral fees or platform kickbacks.
We would rather lose the build than talk you into a move that isn’t right for you. That independence is exactly why our advice is worth anything.
Why the Magento people run the exit
Nobody knows where your data lives like the people who maintain the platform.
EAV, sales archive, quote tables, serialized custom options, tokenized payment profiles: the migrations that go wrong go wrong here. Our payment modules process $4.5B+/yr. A cutover is a Tuesday, not a research project.
How it runs
-
Extraction audit
What data exists, where it hides, what the new platform can and can’t hold. Fixed scope, in writing.
-
Migrate & parallel-run
Data across, tokens cut over, integrations re-pointed, both stores live until the numbers reconcile.
-
Shutdown & archive
Order history preserved for compliance, hosting decommissioned, credentials rotated, a closing report.
